I- Even though he- according to himself- knows everybody, it doesn't mean he actually hangs out with everyone. A few close friends for the introvert and we're good, in this case being Judy and possibly Finnick (I wouldn't exactly call Flash a close friend). Even though he is also outspoken most of the time, being an introvert really just means you gain energy from spending time alone rather than being with others. Also, he doesn't really show his feelings with others, like he said, "I would never let another person see that they got to me."
S- Sensing types like to live in the now and remember the past. This is exactly what our friend does- remembers the tragic day of his first and last Junior Scouts meeting and lives without any plans for the future, only making money for the day (though $200/day isn't bad at all B) ).
T- Thinking types might be described by others as untactful or indifferent to emotions. Nick definitely demonstrates this throughout the film, but mostly at the beginning before he opens up. This doesn't mean he is unfriendly, especially at the end of the film (and, well, he kinda was at the beginning). He would just rather use logic and strategy over heart and feelings.
P- Perceiving is a trait among people that can improvise, just like Dodger from Oliver and Company or Aladdin's title character, whom both have stated that they can improvise. Nick is certainly added to this list. A moment he showed this was during his work day. When a construction worker asked about the color of the popsicle- pardon, pawsicle- sticks, he immediately thought of an answer. Nick also shows an easy-going and laid-back personality, which is a perceiving trait.
I've read others stating he is an ENTP, and I could see how someone would reach that conclusion. However, looking at the overall type description, I still feel ISTP fits him better. While an ENTP is said to analyze the outer world around them, search for meanings, and be more energetic, the ISTP type is described realistic, practical, easy-going, and action-oriented.
Do you guys think ISTP sounds like Nick or ENTP? Perhaps another type? Leave a comment down below :)
